Architecture Embroidery Workshop

On the occasion of February 25th, the Kuwait’s national day celebrations, we held an Architectural Embroidery workshop in Dar Loulwah. Presented by Ms. Amna Al-Kandari @mama_stitches_

Architectural Embroidery is based on skyline patterns mostly done in black thread.

Adding some colors or beads is also common in this embroidery to spot out some details
and show the beauty of geometric dimensions of the art work.

In this workshop we worked on two patterns, Kuwait buildings skyline pattern and Al-Mubarkiya shopping mall pattern.

There were 12 stitchers who joined us. During the workshop we took a short and valuable break, Dr.Amina Al-Kandari who is a physical therapay specialist taught us some basic and important exercises and stretches for stitchers.

.
Thank you for the artist Amna Al-Kandari and Dr.Amina Al-Kandari, and Thanks for everyone who joined us.
